I apologise for leaving out some names in the list the other time, you guys have to excuse me. Getting old already. Memory is failing me. Haha. Anyway, I guess it's exam period now, so GOOD LUCK! The J1 batch have already finished our promotional exams. But well, getting back results isn't fun. Juniors, some advice... STUDY EXTREMELY HARD when you get into JC, seriously, it's way harder than sec school, even though you're taking only a few subjects. Haha.

Shall leave you guys with a few stuff to look at....

I was thinking that, maybe we could use this blog for updates and all, esp. for those old old seniors (like me) to know what's going on. Say, maybe you can update us on dates you guys are having the seniors farewell and all, or tournament dates. Or you could just take a photo of Mr wee and upload it here so we won't miss him that much, haha. =) For those people whom i haven't invited to this blog, can lili or minhui add them? okay hello people. im here to officially declare that this blog is on the verge of a very imminent death. yes. so please let's all do our part and revive it. x))

and about tiffany's previous post, WE SHOULD ALL BE INITIATIVE AND GO FIND COURTS IF WE CAN'T TRAIN IN SCHOOL. yea that's a promise sexayye captain mentor!! xD

andand let me tell you how blur i can get.

my dear captain lili smsed me to tell me there's no trng on saturday because school closed and also that potluck is postponed. i think she sent it earlier but i only received it on a cold rainy morning and i was 90% stilll sleeping thus it didnt really register on my head.

SO on friday i spent the ENTIRE DAY watching tv and was very happy because i havent had a proper day of slacking for quite some time. well so on friday i purposely went to sleep earlier (well earlier than my normal sleeping time) so that i could wake up nice and early on saturday and have the energy TO GO FOR TRAINING ><

alright so me nice nice daddy woke up nice and early also to bring me to school.
so i got there and no one was there. so i thought maybe im just too early. and i was the earliest which was reasonable because it was 8.10am in the morning so thinking im the earliest would be logical. lol. alright. so i saw the bballers trng. so i thought hmm should have trng right since bballers can train. how wrong am i. well by now it was 8.20am.

so me being bored because my ipod was flat and i hafnt charged it. so i randomly opened my sms inbox and scrolled and scrolled until i saw the +88888 which was our dear lili's messsage. so i opened it and guess what i saw.

"hi! THIS SAT NO TRAINING! AND POTLUCK..."

so with that, i conclude my extremely dimwitted episode of being CRAZILY BLUR and causing daddy and i to lose a few hours of nicenice sleep.

daddy had to turn back from toa payoh and fetch me home.

by now, im sure you would have laughed or at least smiled at SOTONGED me.

where did all the enthusiasm go to!

sigh so many holidays, so many trainings to be cancelled.
mr chan is talking rubbish, basketball had training on saturday and we cant train because it's the day after a public holiday? yeah yeah and we're so dumb huh.
anyway, this kinda thing is just gonna keep repeating itself over and over again so you all got to take matters into your own hands.
BOOK YOUR OWN COURTS LAH. all it takes is a little initiative.
but yeah, sometimes it's too last minute but i'm sure there are courts at ulu places that aren't booked yet (remember ULU pandan?). just take the trouble to go find courts and make your way there and we all can train already!
and this is not just the job of the captains, everyone should help to look too.
if we just accept things as they are, we're never gonna move ahead :((((

ANYWAY i got damn bored of going to this page every single day and not seeing any update, so i just decided to update! hahaha.

oh oh sports day! how did everyone dooo? i know our juniors did very well ahhaa. no other than that, anyone into semifinals for 4x100? HAHA MY TEAM IS IN LA! haha okay we're the 7th out of 8 teams which qualified. haha HOWWWW. so pressured la. nvm you all must cheeeeeeeeeeeer damn loud for me next thursday haha ! hahah but i doubt you guys will see me la haha we're in lane 1 because we second last. HAHA. lane 1 is the IN-NEST lane. haha IT'S GONNA BE SO DARN EMBARRASSING LA. hahahaha. nvm la. but if i dont run properly, just dont disown me la hor! dont like, "ehh i dunno her ah, stupid girl run so slow." HAHA, i'll be damn sad. oh and our team's timing is 1 minute point something and the 3rd last team is like 57 seconds la! so my tracker teammate says cannot make it la. AIYOHH. but you know right, got 4 teams with 57 seconds. meaning 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th teams all got 57 seconds la! so ah, if miraculously we get 56 seconds ah, THEN WE WIN MEDAL ALREADY CAN! hhaa i want medalllllllllllllll! haha but i should dream on right. ):

STUPID LA. i think sports day is just the competition among all the trackers. and all of us, non trackers, will just sit back and watch in awe as all the trackers overtake us and compete among themselves. hahah but ehh our sec1s/sec2s did us very proud man! so yea, NYBT has already made it's mark in our 2006 sportsday. hahahahha yay! :D

hello everyone. i was rereading and rereading the team blog and rerefreshing and rerefreshing it x)) then i had the sudden urge I WANT TO POST xD so here goes.

i havent blogged in AGES since i quit blogging mwahahaha. anyway my love for nanyang badminton academy has forced me to break my abstinence XDD and BLOG.

firstly let me address a few issues:

delphine says shes on a diet and a potluck wouldbe bad for her.
meaning she doesnt want to consume any food,
and we also cannot waste the food, therefore (drumroollll)
we shall all throw delphine's share of food at her. this way she's not consuming anything and we get to have fun, kill two birds with one stone and on top of that this is not wasting food because it has so many pro points x))

next, tiffanny's demand for us to kop certain items. hmmm look at it this way, see ah um if we dont kop means we have to fork out money to BUY, but if we kop from the schoolll then we dont have to buy. and moreover the school paid for these so that we can use it! see so we are merely fully exploiting our resources. yayes :D therefore dont u think we shld all participate actively. x))

okay and abt taking over me as attendence person. anyone is more than welcome xD

mwahaha so that's settled. now i shall randomly blog as i feel like it and write down wadever comes to my head (:

i just came online and i was smiling like so widely when i saw nybt people online too. I THINK I'M IN LOVE WITH YOU ALL.

anyway, was asking eeyang to put a team song, and she said that we can actually use the recording studio in school to sing songs! PLSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS PEOPLE, LET'S GET IN THERE AND SING A TEAM SONG. IT'S GONNA BE LOADS OF FUN :)))) even though some of you cant sing for nuts, it will turn out very nice! MAYBE WE CAN GET MR WEE TO SING SOLO AT ONE PART.

serious stuff now. the potluck will be this saturday, and in school :) time 11am to 1pm unless stated otherwise. that's just the official duration so we can stay behind and play stupid games if we want to! oh, and we're going to elect the committee on that day. so from now till then, you should consider which sec 3 you think is suitable for the role of treasurer and logistics :) oh and i think someone else to take mingming's duty of taking attendence because she's been doing it for ages already. someone pls volunteer!

anyone knows how to make those hot desserts! it'll be nice if we could have dessert for our potluck :)

hmm hahah seems like this saturday isn't a good time for our party because next week is THE next week and we're all very very very worried yeah?

so we'll most probably have it on the 29th of April yay! CAN WE PLEASE DONT HAVE IT IN SCHOOL?!?! can we go to some park where we can cycle and be crazyyy? pls give feedback on that okay :)

TILL THEN, all of you have a MISSION. HAHAHAHA. to cut costs, all members of nybt are required to go to the canteen everyday, and nick all the plastic forks and spoons you can find. CHOPSTICKS ARE NOT SPARED. also, nuggets, sausages and fishballs taste better with chilli and ketchup! SO, all of you must visit mcdonalds', KFC etc etc to collect all the sauces you can find hahahah.

let's make this a mini competition okay. whoever collects the most will get to throw a plate of whipped cream at ANYONE ( excluding me of course).

anyway, just wanna say a few things:

1. SKIPPING IS STILL ON
skipping is here to stay so you all should learn to love it. if you all have that 250 chengyu book, the first chengyu is AI WU JI WU. love badminton, love skipping! or rather, love tiffany, love skipping! whichever way you prefer :) erm if you all STILL HAVE NO IDEA HOW SKIPPING HELPS BADMINTON, GO BANG YOUR HEAD AGAINST THE WALL.

2. no training for two weeks
hope you all paid attention when mr wee said no training for two weeks. no training means no official training, which means that we will still have training, unofficially. it's not compulsory that you all come, since nationals just ended and everyone deserves a break. BUT, the new sec ones girls MUST COME. new sec ones, YOU ALL ARE FINALLY IN THE LIMELIGHT SO WORK HARD. erm, actually i feel that one week of break is enough, so hopefully all of you will turn up during the second week. seriously, it's so obvious that training is off for two weeks BECAUSE POTATO CHAN DOESN'T WANNA STAY IN SCHOOL :( I LOVE MR CHAN.

3. physicals
remember mr wee said that if there's no training, we must still maintain our fitness or we'll die after two weeks. HMMMMM. THAT'S UP TO DORLISA, since she's captain now :)

4. PARTY
we needa have some sort of post tournament bash where erm, we wrap up this whole tournament AND MOVE ON. erm we should have it on one of the saturdays where we have no training okay. keep the saturdays free. IF YOU ALL HAVE HOMEWORK, DONT DO IT YAY!!!!!!

5. BEING SENSITIVE

I LOVE YOU TOO NICOLETTE. even though you're alwaysssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss doing something destructive and SCREAMING AT THE TOP OF YOUR LUNGS, i really really really appreciate you as a junior and as a member of NYBT. during matches, you'll always be there cheering on whoever's playing no matter how stoned and boring the game is. you might be a reserve, but you have contributed as much as any other person in the team AND WE LOVE YOU FOR THAT. stop running off to buy snacks ah the juniors will copy and the whole team will become hungry people :)

being with the team has made my life in nanyang meaningful. i remember:

1. THE SHANGKERS.

okay basically, shangkers is that name of our CHEERLEADING SQUAD. after soo longggggggg, that's the only sentence we've got, accompanied by only ONE move, with only THREE PEOPLE, namely renee, ruiqi and i. HOI RUIQI, start recruiting new members pls. GET NICOLETTE HAHAHAH.

2. GAMES
ahhhh CATCHING! MUSHROOM! WACKOOOOOOOOOOO! RUGBY!!!!!
AHHH SO FUNNY. nicolette's softtoy's leg got detached during rugby and we all got soaked during wacko! oh i remember during rugby, everyone was tickling and poking each other. SNATCH, TRY TO RUN, POKE POKE TICKLE TICKLE LAUGH LAUGH.

3. BIRTHDAYS
hahah we have birthday celebrations SUPER often. but in the beginning, it was so much more interesting. WE STARTED HAVING CAKEFIGHTS. ohhhh remember jinny's celebration?! we tried getting cake on jinny but we all got attacked by her instead?! :(:(

4. TISSUE IN YOUR HEAD
THIS IS HILARIOUS. hmmm renee yisan dory and i live quite near so we always carpool. and there was one period of time, we just kept carpooling after tournament. AND SO ONE FINE TRIP, we started to erm, make tissue balls and putting them into each other's hair SECRETLY. we were seriously super pro because we managed to put loads of tissue balls into each other's hair without realising. for a while, we thought "muahahah i rock i put so many tissue balls into XXXX's hair" while we got tissue balls planted on our own heads at the same time. FINALLY, the need for alliances came. the very next carpooling trip, a big secret mission was carried out veryyyyyy successfully. SO SUCCESSFUL THAT I WENT HOME WITH ALUMINIUM BALLS IN MY HAIR. HAAHAHAHAHHAH OH MY GOODNESS I DONT KNOW HOW YOU ALL MANAGED TO DO IT OKAY. ohhhhhhhhh i remember once, in yisan's car, we all joined forces and put tissue balls into yisan's dad's hair. WE AIMED AND MISSED BUT WE DID NOT GIVE UP. after many futile attempts, we managed to get ONE tissue ball on his hair and it stayed there for as long as we could remember :))) IT WAS REALLY REALLY LOADS OF FUN.

ahhh there's sooooo much other great great memories which i hope will be etched in everyone's minds forever. i wanna remember EVERYTHING EVERYTHING EVERYTHING that we went through together. you people are just soooo much fun. i dont think there's a wackier cca in nanyang okay :)

think i should stop typing now. there's this horrible voice in my head going, "BETTER PUBLISH BEFORE THE WHOLE THING DISAPPEARS." i'll just die if what i just typed disappears.

oh but before that, i just wanna say that nybt has gone a really long way and that while we have achieved something that we have never achieved before, we should continue to work hard towards greater heights.

we'll always face obstacles. there'll be people around us that will try to bring us down and crush our hopes, like MR CHAN, but we shouldn't let him get in our way. WHO IS HE TO TELL US THAT WE'RE LOUSY AND HOPELESS RIGHT? right. we shouldn't bother about what outsiders think/feel about us because what's really important is that we love what we're doing and that we try our very best at whatever we're doing. "you don't have to win to show that you're good, because you're already the best" as long as we have already done our best and given all that we've got, we are already winners and nobody can take that away from us yeah.

lastly, i want all of you to know that while i have already stepped down as captain, i'll always be there for each and every one of you. nanyang badminton team will always be family and i hope all of you feel the same way too!

jinny- JINNYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY! my super super nice senior! hello people, i'm in suzhou now! in the comp lab having computer lessons and the bell just rung. how is training going on? i hope that you all are training hard and having fun :) haha anyway, i just ran 2 km today so i'm not rotting ok. i requested for the family hosting me to get me a coach so hopefully i'll get one soon. in 13 days, i'll be moving on to wenzhou. suzhou's clothes are UGLY but they have alot of "cakes". it's their speciality. i'll try to get some that wont rot so fast so that you all can try yeah?! gtg love ya all!

ATTENTION TO ALL.

i have noticed that the people in the team are not COMMITTED AT ALL!
okayy, maybe some. but MOST of the people are not.
if we do not train hard, be more committed, how are we EVER going to improve our skills in badminton. i mean the reason you train is because you want to improve. and you cant improve if you dont train! so if the reason you come for training is just because it is a must, please rethink. reflect. why is your badminton skills up to this level? it's because you TRAINED! so why are you just stopping there and not doing anything else? you have to have the determination to want to get better. like for example, on a particular training, tell yourself "I want to improve on my smashing today. I want to be able to smash down, not floating." This is self-discipline, my dear teammates.

and also. why is it that just because training is not compulsory, you dont go? yes, i mean. you want a break during the hols? take it. rest yourself well. but when school reopens, training is as usual, so take it in your stride and TRAIN HARD. don't do it cos you are forced. you have to motivate yourself, that's the trick to improving yourself. if you dont, you'll just find yourself remaining stagnant while everyone else is getting better. you cant just say, i'll improve and do nth. you HAVE TO DO SOMETHING! it's ACTION, not just talk.

so my dears, please readjust your ways of thinking when you come for training. come with a determination to want to improve. yes, i know sometimes pt might be too extreme. but we'll try to make the increase in speed more gradual. just promise me to train hard and most importantly do yourself proud! so that you can go off aft training, saying proudly, "I improved today!"

Come on, people! i know you can do it! so why dont you do it?! keep the spirit of learning up! jiayou! love ya all! :))
